By way of introduction I have a story to tell. I love the synchronicity of events in ones life. A month or so ago I renewed a relationship with an old friend. Dale told me about Robin's project...I went to Santa Fe for 4 days...was inspired by the art but mainly by the exhibit at the Museum of International Folk Art called "Needles & Pins"...started reading the book "Eat, Pray, Love"...significant quotes began to present themselves...and the bead project began. All of this lead me right back to the beginning of my beading adventures with Robin five years ago.
I had just been asked to end my 34 year marriage and was in need of emotional healing. Robin had been invited to Denver to teach a class and Dale invited me to go. Through tears, therapy and Robin's one bead at a time philosophy I moved on. Five years later we connect again. So here it goes...my theme is I'm still standin'...better than I ever did..., Thanks! Mr. Elton John.
I'm happy to be a part of this creative adventure! Jo Ann Patterson, Denver, CO

Wow, what a story. It seems many of us felt things click with Robin's project. I am glad you renewed your acquaintance with Dale. He must be good for you. And let's see what you do with this project! I hope you find some fun and friendship with it.
I honestly believe that each of us is creative. Sometimes we don't find that which we can create in. And who would have thought - BEADS!??
It's a truly beautiful medium isn't it? Listen to Margie Deeb's podcast and all the reasons why you are lured to bead are honoured and you'll come away thinking,
thanks.
Thanks for sharing.

Aloha, Jopatt! Wow...do I relate to you! I was TOLD to end my 26 year marriage. Who knew, huh? Well, down the road a bit, I met my perfect mate, creative like me, & am now living in Hawaii. Who knows for how long, but it's been a great road! My theme back then was "roll with the punches" from a Jimmy Buffett song "Cowboy in the Jungle", and here I am, standing better than I ever did...with YOU! :) Happy Beading!
Blessings to you in your new life!

I so relate to your story here. It brought tears to my eyes. Eight years ago my marriage ended after 24 years.
Beading held me together, and still is where I go for healing and strength. It's where I mediate.
My story changed almost 5 years ago when I met Michael, I ended up moving to New Mexico, having a wonderful life. Meeting lots of wonderful people and even beaders that I had talked to or read their websites and didn't even know they lived here until I got out here.
For me the BJP is a growth process, a way to step out of my comfort zone. I am an un-offical member, but I am following the blog here and others as much as I can. It's a great place to make new friends.
