more from the night worker
Well, I have enjoyed getting to know everyone. I thought I'd share a picture of my latest embroidery project. Like I said before, I'm a doll maker & enjoy covering their bodies with beads. This doll posted is Gustave Breathe. He was entered in the professional exhibit at Artistic Figures in Cloth. The Challenge was Object in my Obsession & since I'm an Asthmatic, I thought he'd be a good representative of my work. I took apart an Advair Disc & incorporated pieces onto my doll. Wish I could say that the doll pattern itself was my original idea. NOT...it is from Ute Vasnia.

Hey Night person! I'm a night worker, too (12 hr shifts in ER 3 times a week), but I never get time to pull out the beads. :-(
The doll is amazing and fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
cheers,

Love this doll !
Can you tell us more about Ute Vasnia ? I couldn't find any information about her. Many thanks !
Helene -- just 'google' Ute VASINA -- here is one site: http://www.enchantingdelights.com/ there are more. Have fun.
I love this little guy! How did you get the texture on his head? I love that about beads - the texture that can be created!
Cheers, Denise
Thank you so much Beadin' Gram !
Thanks guys. Texturing is my THING! I love to tell people to look at my dolls first with their eyes & then close them & rub your fingers over their bodies. I want people to see & feel my dolls. The hair is a modified stacked stitch. As for Ute...she does have a website-enchantingdelights. Her trolls are adorable. You can purchase her patterns at Joggles & DollMakers Journey.
Yes I work in a hospital laboratory. Work 9pm-7:30am. Been working 3rd shift for over 22 years & love it.
