page in progress

I've been ill for a few days but I managed to put in a few hours on my June page this afternoon. You can see the results here. I'm planning to create a wallhanging from the completed pages; the back of each page will have a pocket for a written journal entry. I hope to have June's pocket completed by next week. I'll prepare the written entries at the end of each month so that I include a few months about the creative journal process as well as that month's particular meaning for me.

Oooh, pretty! I like that your threads and beads have a conversation in color. And your idea of having a pocket on the back to hold written entries is great.

Wonderful work! I am particularly drawn to your stitches as I want to do more of that.

thanks for the encouragement. I noticed I was a lot more comfortable and "happy" with the process once I added stitching - undoubtedly because it put me a bit more firmly in my comfort zone and known creative territory. I'm hoping the year's completed journal shows a secondary journey of moving in some new directions, but for now I need the confidence of working in ways that are familiar and fun to me.
