About the 2007 Bead Journal Project
We are 241 women and 1 man who are dedicated and committed to creating 12 bead journal pages, one per month, for a year, starting June 1, 2007. We live in 13 different countries, including 37 states in the USA. Our primary goal during this process, is to stretch our creative and technical limits. The BJP is all about visual journaling using any media and techniques, as long as it includes beading. We are free to structure our bead journal pages any way we want, as long as all 12 are the same size. Through this blog, we intend to support each other in process, techniques and design. Until September 1, 2007, we will not post pictures of our finished journal pages. Many of us have our own blogs or websites (links below) where we may post pictures sooner.
I am totally wowed by each of your pages. Your colours are so vibrant. For August you have used a limited palette of beads and yet made this striking design. Fabulous.
OMG, Caroll, your work is exquisite!!!!! The contrast of blue glass beads and black wool French knots is SPLENDID!!!!! I hope you will add pictures of your work to our Flickr site here. Happy I will be if someday I get to see all 12 of your pieces in person!!!
Thank you all for your nice words :-))I love so much beading that it passes in my work :-)) Robin,of course, I'll add my pages on our Flickr site in September. I'll come to New York during 10 days at the end of May 2008, I am lucky enough to exhibit in Larchmont, so ... I'll try to finish all my BJP pages and mount them to make a book. I should be so glad to meet you if you're in this area. Happy beading to all :-)
Your work is electrifying. I was like WOW!!! I had been thinking about mixing in some beads and embroidery...but I hadn't thought of it in the same way that you did it. Your beading is like 10 times what my brain was thinking about. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Absolutely marvelous! These are all gorgeous :)
Your pages remind me of woven tapestries. But they are better because they have the texture and shine of beads! Magnifique!
Wish I were in NY, Caroll... but, alas for meeting you on this trip, I'm on the other coast. Have a fun trip!
I noticed you posted your pictures in Flickr. Bravo!!! They look so great together and on the slide show!
