Hi all I just thought I would let you know that I have completed my fabric postcard for June. It's a mix of heavy embroidery and crusty beading. I found it fun to do but a little time consuming as I had hoped to have it done by mid month! You will find it

That's just amazing. I love the colors and mix of techniques.
Gorgeous! All those wonderful textures - terrific stuff, and very inspiring.
I love it, its like standing on the beach looking down into the white sand at all the treasure that settle into the sand. It is beautiful.

Oh, how beautiful the textures are. I love how you used the beads to bring out the beauty of the shells.

I love your piece. It's as though someone just pulled up some treasure from the bottom of the sea.
Beautiful!
It's so beautiful Sharon! I have wanted to leave comments on some of your posts before, but your blog doesn't seem to want to allow it. I'm glad I can tell you here how much I admire your beautiful embroidery :-)
Wow, fantastic page. I am in awe.
Hi Sharon,
An incredible piece! I love the theme and texture! Did you embroider or crochet it along with the beads? Of course I'm partial to anything about the sea ;o)
Thanks for sharing, Lillian in Washington, USA
It begs to be touched. I love the combination of beading and embroidery and it's a real triumph of a piece.
Congratulations!
It's a beautiful piece Sharon, I love it.

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments. Lillian it is just embroidery and beading. You can do a lot of interesting stuff with textured stitches. It's one of the samples for the sumptuous surfaces workshop (I won't plug it here too much as details are on my blog) Thanks again everyone for the comments.
This is beautiful! I love the shell slices you used and the mix of embroidery stitched and beading.
