I feel like such a flake

I still have not finished my June page let alone start my July page - I feel I am being a real flake for not keeping up with it, but there have been a few changes in my life since I decided to join this project, like starting a part time job & I know now that the pages I planned are too big for the limited time I have to work on them, so I am going to make some changes.

Hopefully by the end of August I will have the first 3 months finished - you can see what I started here if you wish

Aw, don't feel like a flake - you get done what you get done! This isn't a race or a competition. I haven't started my July page either (but I've got the beads together for it at least).

That is going to be so beautiful, Ellen! Actually, it already is :-) Don't worry about the "schedule"...just don't quit on us!

I have finished something for June and almost finished something for July, but now feel that my original idea is not really in the spirit of the Project. It's also turing out a little differently than I expected and I don't like it much. I'm going to do one more and if I hate it, I'm starting over. So I'll be *really* behind!

Oops! That came out "anonymous" and although I know "Anonymous was a woman" I thought I should sign the note - Cathy Bond, Williamburg, VA

Yeah, don't worry. You aren't the only one. My June page is still not finished and the July one not even begun. There's been a lot happening for me, too. I just know if I plod on the pieces will be finished. I am learning heaps and enjoying what I'm doing, though. ;-)

If it comforts you, as it does me :}, i too was felling guilty about having done only one piece so far, and then wondering if i was going to continue----life happens babe! You're not alone!

Oh, you have such a powerful start! If all you made all year was one piece and it is this wonderful, I think you'd have success.

I started a new job three weeks ago and even with already knowing I would need to do very small pieces, haven't worked but one time on my BJP for July.

You're not a flake, just too busy adjusting. Give it some time, no judgement, and you'll get back to it! The judgement is what kills us.

I hope also to be doing some more beading in the weeks to come than I've been able to do now. Hang in there!!

You might be a flake if you were sitting around on your duff doing nothing all the time, but I've known you long enough to know that is not true. Do what you can, when you can. It will be beautiful.

Hang in there my friend. The piece IS gorgeous already! Winter comes and the gardens go to sleep, you will have time to create.

Being flexible is the key. If you were too ambitious with what you were going to do, change it!

Wow thank you girls, you have convinced me to stop beating myself up over this & just let the beads speak to me >grin<

Yay, Ms Kiwi!!! I'm so glad we could be with you in this struggle to keep up. And, I believe it will be worth the effort to look back a year from now and know we DID it! We'll all have times when it's difficult and other times when it flows.

Thanks Robin

I have managed to map out the pages for both July & August. I think they are closer to my vision of what I want to achieve with these pages, so I'm feeling revitalized with it all
