November Spiral piece done

Hi all - finished up my November piece of my spiral design. Check it out here.

I also did 3 squares for the 2008 beaded quilt for Bead It Forward ; Check it out here. This is for monies for Breast Cancer so if you are not yet involved, you might consider it - all squares are only 1 1/2" so they don't take that much time. This year's theme is the rose.

Have a Beady Good Day! Karen

Your bead journal spiral is rich in meaning, texture, color.. an absolute delight to see! Also, you sure do take good pictures and are clever about how each picture is a link!

Good pictures? I just scan them on my scanner. I've even scanned things that are not flat. Works great. I'm the world's worst photographer - camera always shakes, etc. The picture as a link is called an image map and most html editors have an WYSIWYG interface for this (ie: it's pretty easy to do). thanks for the kudos. We all like that!.

That first spiral is just wonderful. I like the combination of the colors and stitching. I need to go back and check the rest of your site.

I did go back and read more and have a couple of questions for you. How big is this, and will there be one spiral in total? With the separate pieces as you have it now? Very clever idea, sorry I did not take the time to read more before I commented, but I was so excited about how much I liked your piece, I just had to comment! Thanks, Nancy.

This has been one of the most interesting concepts I have seen for the BJP. Each piece is so well done.

Your spiral is really developing into a nice piece. Each one is different yet they certainly belong together.

Your beading is so unique! The spiral is really special, as is each piece of it. Love reading the journaling too.

Thanks for all your encouragement. Nancy K asked the size - the overall pillow will be a 16" pillow. The sprial will be one spiral to decorate that pillow. I might add tassels or something to the edges, but I'm not sure yet. In case some of you wanted to know... I drew out a spiral to use and then divided it into 12 pieces. I used each to make a month. But, of course, they are not perfect and I decided to leave space between each piece so the spiral is sort of different from the original which is just fine with me. I figured that one way or the other, the spiral would work out as it seems to be doing. The inter-piece spacing is not even, but I'm not bothered by it. I guess that is what really counts!
