The first quarter of my 2007 BJP was given a Daily Deviation at DeviantART! There are many things being posted to DeviantART every day (about 1 per second or so). Each day, about 20 Daily Deviations are chosen to be showcased. They are from many different categories - photography, traditional art, etc., and not many are from the Artisan Craft category. My quarter panel "Air" was chosen as one of today's Daily Deviations! You can see the post here: http://beadg1rl.deviantart.com/art/Air-83547456.
Next BJP I am going to do a series using the poetry I have been writing and it's all in my DeviantART gallery as well: http://beadg1rl.deviantart.com/gallery/#_browse

July - Can you believe it?
I was one of the many eager beavers when our group started up last summer even though I am relatively new to beading and did not have my own blog to feature my work. Well, a lot has happened since then -- first, I am behind with my BJPs (I know I'm not alone as a "behinder") and second (possibly more fun), I've just started my own blog! Eager to share what I have completed but unable to remember where I've put my first BJP piece, I've started with my 2nd BJP piece -- yes, the month of July -- which I feature in today's blog entry, "Key #1". Check it out here and let me know how I'm doing as a beginner blogger.

Thom's Bead Embellished Quilts - 3 Months of BJP
Been wanting to get these pictures posted for quite a while... finally did it. Go here to see July, November and December BJP by my brother, Thom. I believe they're all clickable. Enjoy!
If you haven't already seen them, I posted my Nov page here, Dec page here and Jan page here.
I've been loving everybody's work. Thanks sooooo much for posting your pictures!

July and January pages
I am committed to two series of bead journal pages. I have kept up with my encrusted beaded pages, but fell behind on the ones beaded on silk fusion paper. It is now time for me to catch-up.
The little silk fusion pages are simple so that the silk fibers speak as loud as the beads. Please check my blog to see my pages for July and January.

The Inner Critic Does a Dance on My Head
I'm very much a beginner at bead embroidery (I tend to bead more like embellishment than a work in itself) but I finally worked up the courage to put the first two of my pages out there. My mom had a stroke in July so most of my time is going into helping her, but the beading has become my quiet space.
Anyway, here's my June page and my July page. I'm still working on August but I actually get two days at home this weekend, so I have high hopes.
Also, someone sent me an email about something they were doing for Robin. It went to my spam box and I saw it juuuuust as I was deleting my spam for the week. If whoever reads that could send me the message again, I'd appreciate it.
You all do such beautiful work. It's an inspiration just being part of this group.

I have no problem with allowing the unofficial BJP people to join us. That's a yes. Let's see what they are doing. It sounds like they have kept up better than some.
Thanks, everyone for the nice comments on my July piece. Sandy in La Center

July Page Done!
Finally, my July page is done, and you can see it here. I finished it up over the last two nights, late into the night, and found it to be very calming after the last month or so of hectic and emotional activity.

July's "Celebrate Summer" is done!
August's page is about 1/3 done and at the moment I have no idea what I'll be doing for September. Usually I have ideas stacked up, but right now I'm drawing a complete blank as to what I want to do next. I'm also wrestling with ideas for displaying all 12 pieces in one long line. I can't finish the backs of my completed pages until I figure out how to support the weight of all 12 beaded pages - All those beads are going to be heavy.
You can read all about just my Bead Journal Pages on my blog - HERE.
What fun this is. Seeing all the variations and work by other participants is what starts my day off with pure enjoyment.

July Finished
Like Jacqui I just finished my July piece. Now I am asking my self is my next piece August or September? Should I call it September and try and fit in August when I have extra time? Or is it August and I try to do two in September? So many beads so little time.
July Finished at last!
Well, just in time for August to finish I have completed July! To see it either go to the flickr page or my blog. Feel free to comment in either place.
One of the things I mention on my blog is moving into a new space and the feeling that it is alien. I have now had my own space for several weeks and gradually it is beginning to feel comfortable but I really have to drag my heels behind me to get there. If you have managed to get your own space to create in, how did you response to such unadulterated freedom and space?
Thank you for all the people who have contributed to the flickr group as Robin says, it is great to see all the work side by side and recognising each individual style. Like the blogs, you can still comment on the work.

Beading Mess??
Right now I've got 3 month's of Bead Journal pages falling prey to my "messy beader syndrome" - nothing completely finished, all in various stages and tangled together on my BJP tray. .... and September is staring me in the face!
Anyway, I've posted a couple of updates on my blog if you'd care to see where I'm at. I guess that just moving forward at all is some sort of progress, it's just not in an orderly, linear fashion.

July Progress
Yup, that's right. J U L Y. I'm not a founding member of Busy Beaders for nothing, you know! I have a couple pictures up on my blog - look here if you like. I'm enjoying reading all the posts when I'm too pooped to go downstairs and bead!

finalmente finita pagina di luglio.
voglio rivolgere un pensiero a quanti sono in pericolo per l'uragano, spero non tocchi alcuno di voi nè delle vostre famiglie.
