A button/badge for your blog or website

At the suggestion of Kathy V. (aka KV; Artful Muse) and with Robin's blessing, I* have a button/badge for those of you that might want to post one on your blog or website linking back to this blog. I only wish we would have thought of it sooner. But still better late than never, right?

Right click the badge below, copy it to your desktop and upload it to your blog. For blogspot owners - you will go to 'Layout' -> 'add page element', and I chose 'HTML/JavaScript'. Copy the code there that you have saved to your desktop. If you have any problems, post a note here or send me an email and I will help you through it as best I can.

* I did not create this image - I am not terribly proficient in computer graphics, but my significant other is! He did not hesitate when I asked him if he would do me a favor.

If you want to see what the button looks like in the works - check my blog, scroll down a bit, it's on the right hand side.

Take care,
Grace

Thanks so much, Grace! And please thank your husband again for doing the graphics.

I just followed your directions, only there was no right-click command to copy to desktop. So I just did right click, copy... then minimized the internet window, opened a new internet window, went to my blog and signed in, followed your instructions to layout, new element, java script, and pasted into the window.

It worked. Except, that the image is not like the one you have here. (It's the older version with pink text.)

My question... is your code for the correct image or did I do something wrong?

Grace, I can get all the way to HTML/Java Script, and then I don't understand what copy the code means. There doesn't seem to be any code. And there's no place to upload the badge...any advice? Many thanks, for help and for your husband's design - and thanks to KV for the suggestion!

Wonderful idea Grace...thanks!
I was able to put up the graphic but it doesn't provide the link to the group when you click on it...must have done something wrong?

Hi all,

I apologize - I'm out of town right now and my laptop crashed today. I will be back home tomorrow (provided I don't get stuck because of snowstorms) and hope to get everyone sorted out that sent messages. My sincere apologies to those that couldn't get it to work.

I can't get this to work. There are so many different options to copy. Do I have to upload the picture to my own blog first? How do I do that & then enter the code for the picture on my blog?

Help :)
