About the 2007 Bead Journal Project
We are 241 women and 1 man who are dedicated and committed to creating 12 bead journal pages, one per month, for a year, starting June 1, 2007. We live in 13 different countries, including 37 states in the USA. Our primary goal during this process, is to stretch our creative and technical limits. The BJP is all about visual journaling using any media and techniques, as long as it includes beading. We are free to structure our bead journal pages any way we want, as long as all 12 are the same size. Through this blog, we intend to support each other in process, techniques and design. Until September 1, 2007, we will not post pictures of our finished journal pages. Many of us have our own blogs or websites (links below) where we may post pictures sooner.
Was it here that someone posted earlier about being especially interested in very small beads? I have just been given quite a lot and am looking for a good home for them. These are much smaller then 15's - in fact, they look maybe half the size?
I have some 18s - 24s in my collection. They're very difficult to use (although sometimes I try), because I can't find small enough needles. Using a size 16 needle and Nymo thread (size 00 or 000), I can get some of the beads over the eye of the needle, but it is definitely a character building process. Someone once told me to ask an eye surgeon to donate some needles to me. Apparently these needles are not threaded. Extremely fine thread is glued to the end of an equally fine needle. It is a one-use-only needle. Anybody know more about this???
hmmm...guess that was unclear...by "looking for a good home" I mean (like kittens) "want to give away". This is not a venue where I think people should be selling things, anyhow. I can email you a picture, if you like - or just send the packet along to someone with experience dealing with the li'l darlins. The air here is very dry and its extremely difficult to sort them because of static electricity.
Aloha Creed! I have a girlfriend who only designs with teensie beads! I know she'd love them! She makes wedding ring pillows, patterns, etc. She's had a hard time finding them anymore. I'd love to see them. You can email me a pic at hrhcc@hawaii.rr.com! I know she'd love some! LMK! Thanks, CC

pricing? colors? I'm interested and I know there are others who like 15's (and smaller).
Me too. I love 15/0 and although I haven't worked much with smaller I would love to try. Angie
