Mixed Feelings

I've posted the last of my pics to Flickr - sorry for putting so many on at once! It covers all of 2008 and the final arrangement. I was going to put a poem in the middle, but instead it will be for the next BJP pages.

Many blessings on Robin for starting this. It has helped me define myself as a bead artist, given me deadlines to meet, and a sense of belonging to something much, much bigger than myself sitting in my corner pricking my fingers! I am sad to see this BJP end, but looking forward to the next.

The faster I go, the behinder I get

Yes, I'm late, but I'm finally catching up. I just posted January, February and March pieces here on my blog. It's so tempting to sign up for the next bead group because I'm going to miss seeing everybody's amazing work, but I think I need to get going on some fabric pieces I've had brewing for a while. I'm almost done with my April piece, and know what I'm doing for May, so I should be done in a week or so.

These last last few months had been a period of change of me. but that wasn't really what was slowing me down...No it was January that slowed me to pace slower than a snails :)

This is is here and I am have recommitted my self to this project with the Feburary page with I found a joy to do complared to Jan,.

February Page Done!

I know I am more behind than ever but I finally have something to share. February is done! You can see it here. I hope you enjoy the story.

Now on to March! I think it will be easier and quicker. We'll see.

Catching Up Finally!

G'Day Everyone,
Just a little teaser of February that I finished today, I've posted it to Flickr.
I was very sick in Feb and unable to bead at all. But am much better now.
March, April and May are all set to go then I only have to backtrack to August finish that and meet you all at the finish line on May 30!
I will be on board for next year (only wish it was a later start) that said I'm looking forward to having a break in June/July as it's my Birthday June 21st and My Son turns 18 July 2nd so methinks there will be a bit of partying going on!
I'm really enjoying being a part of this group my only regret is that you all live so gosh darn far away!
So it's back to the work desk for me while we still have beautiful sunshine here, it's supposed to be Autum(Fall) but the weather is so spring like even some of the flowers are blooming again - go figure!

My February Page is Finished

Hello kindred beading spirits,

I just completed my February page this week. You can see it on my blog here.

A couple of weeks ago, I attended the National Polymer Clay Guild's first Synergy Conference in Baltimore. I had a marvelous time and am still catching up from being away. This morning I took the time to catch up on about 40 BJP posts and am in awe of all of the amazing work everyone is creating. I'm honored to be part of this fabulous group!

I also saw that we are thinking of going another year with the project. I will have to give that some thought because it is a big commitment. That said, I have learned so much from being a part of this group and my confidence has grown in cultivating and expressing my artistic voice. This has changed my life in such a wonderful and positive way and it sounds like there are many others who feel the same way.

I've got my idea for March, but won't start it until February is done.
And I can't believe we're 3/4 thru' the year! I still have to mount these & add the danglies & the words & ....! Yikes! Better get beading!

My February page is done!

I wanted to do January's Wolf Moon for my February page. Even though it's confusing sometimes, I like doing last month's moon this month, so that I have a better feel for how it went! I decided to bead just the eyes, emerging from a dark night. You can see it here.

My February page is finally completed. It was a lesson in patience. It's here. I think it's my favorite page so far.

Unsatisfied, but done...

Hi everyone... maybe it's the weather and maybe not; I am done with January and February and not happy with the way they turned out -- but no changing them! My own rule at the moment.... anyway, here they are.
