Next BJP

The votes are in:

80 - want to do it again!
10 - are passing on doing for another year (I'll miss them)
4 - are undecided

Of the 80 ready to commit to another 12 bead journal pages, slightly over half want to begin right away. There were several comments regarding a September start date - midway between starting again right away and waiting until January of 2009.

We're going with the midway idea! The 2008 Bead Journal Project will begin with September this year. (In other words, your first piece will be for the month of September.) If you want to get a head start, that's fine. The slight delay will give current members time to complete all their 2007 BJP pieces and whatever finishing they decide to do (if any). I'll post more about this soon.

There will be some
VERY EXCITING NEWS
posted here in the next few days...
Be sure to watch for it!!!

Good work everyone! I'm so proud of us and so very pleased that most of us will be together for another year!

Hugs and kudos... Robin A.

I was one of the ones that wanted a January start, so September works and as you say, it will give me time to catch up. I know one thing for sure, my pages will be smaller next time.

Thank you Robin, I can wait for the news.

I'm happy we're doing it again! And I'll have extra time to do all my binding after May.

And next time I'm going to nail down my binding decision and bind as I go! LOL, a lesson learned. :-)

Super great news! We spent part of the afternoon today discussing the size and color of the shadow box frames I want to use for my pages. And, believe it or not, I will have at least six pages ready to post this week -- providing my camera woes are over!

Thank you Robin for putting this together and providing such inspiration. And thank you as well to everyone that shared their projects, offered support, inspriation and advice and made this such an incredible collective effort. I learned so much, both about myself as well as bead embroidery and am looking forward to getting caught up and finishing this year, in anticipation of beginning fresh again in September.

HOORAY! I am really pleased that we will start again in September! I have learned so much about myself and have become a more spontaneous beader. I agree with NancyK...... next year I will choose a smaller page size! LOL!!! Thanks, Robin, for all you do!

YAHOOOOOO! I'm very happy to keep going with this, and I'll be glad for a little time to catch up some. BJP really means a lot to me. It is so inspiring to be working along with such amazing artists! YAY!

YEAH! And though I thought I would be ready to start in June, I'm so very happy that next year won't start until September. I think I'm going to need at least a month to get the wall quilt done to hang my leaves on. Plus, I feel that I'm finally letting go and putting more of my soul into each piece.

Awesome news! and more to come -- I can hardly wait! I was a January-voter, but September is even better! Thanks for thinking of a mid-way point -- it does allow time for those of us in "The Behinders" to catch up totally ...

I am eager to hear the anticipated "very exciting news" .... but first must join the others in expressing my thanks to you, Robin, for spear-heading this, mentoring (as/when needed) and allowing us all to come together in our shared beading creativity!

hmmm, now to ponder what size to do for my next year as I catch up with this year...

I am also glad it is not starting until September. I am going to make mine into a book and since I don't know what I am doing it might take a few months.
I am also going to work a little smaller next year and I am going to be doing the finishing as I go along.
I have my theme already chosen.
But I have work yet to do on this year's batch!

September is great! I am going to work smaller too and more (not all probably) improvisational.

Thanks Robin for everything. I'm sure you'll let us know where and if you need help, right?

Wonderful! I should be ready to go in June as I've fallen just a little bit behind. I'm looking forward to another 12 months! Like Dot, I'm learning to put a bit more of my soul into my beadwork and I'm finding it to be not only more satisfying, but liberating as well.

Also very excited to hear the 'news'.
