Apologies for failing BJP 2007

Dear Robin and All involved in BJP,
Unfortunately I was dragging the chain throughout BJP but I was honestly committed to finishing - well that was until March, when as a pedestrain, I was hit by a car.

As a righthander and with broken arm, collarbone, ankle and seven ribs ... all on the right side, I was hospitalised for six weeks. I've been home three weeks, despite the best intentions I lack the ability and motivation to carry on with this marvellous project for now.

Congratulations Everyone, Thank YOU Robin for bringing us all together and Sincere Apologies for not making the deadline !

Good grief! That's horrible. I'm so sorry that you've had to go through this broken body stuff and hope you are mending well. Ribs take a long time and collarbones can be tricky. I understand completely and no appologies are necessary. If you find yourself able to bead and the desire is there, just continue at your own speed. There are many of us who won't actually finish by May 31st, which is one reason why we delayed the start of the next BJP until September. Bessings and wishes for a full recovery. Gentle hugs, Robin A.

OMG! What a terrible accident. I am happy to hear that you are beginning your healing process. I am sure you have a lot of rehab ahead of you. Take care of yourself.

How horrible! I am so sorry that you are hurt! Cut yourself some slack and let the healing happen. The bead journal project can wait. You didn't plan this! I am just so glad that you are still alive! Think of your remaining BJP pieces as some of your therapy once you get to that stage. Know that I sent love and wishes for your healing!

Good heavens! You shouldn't feel the need to apologize. Healing comes first. Take care of yourself and bead when and as you can, for therapy. I know from experience that art can speed healing. But don't try to do too much too soon! Best wishes.

I am new, and going to participate in the 2008 Journal. I have been watching posts here and trying to visit the blog of everyone involved in the 2007 project. I understand the purpose of the journal, and I would say that by your need to post an apology, you understand it also. I am sorry for your injuries. The important thing about the project is that your extended yourself and have pride in what you accomplished. Afterall, the commitment was really to yourself. I hope that you are able to relax, and heal. Good beading to you, when you are able.

My gosh -- here's hoping you will have a great recovery from all your injuries which is the most important thing. The BJP will always be here when you are ready . . .

I hope these caring comments can help to ease your mind a bit. What a dreadful experience. Healing is, indeed, your most important business for awhile.

Goodness gracious, you take care of yourself first! Beads are very patient and you'll get back to it before you know it.

Blessings for a full recovery!

All of the above and big virtual hugs to you (since real ones are not good for healing ribs...!) as you recover. Once you feel up to it, you may find that you are a better beader and artist than ever. Best wishes and good thoughts for your recovering and healing.
